Passed the practical test in an auto yesterday - DSA 10 certificate says otherwise ??

Just passed my practical test yesterday in an automatic car. The examiner then took my license (both parts) to send to the DVLA.

On the practical test pass certificate, DSA 10, it has a section labelled 'automatic' with a yes / no to delete as appropriate. The 'yes' has been deleted implying that I have passed in a manual car.

Now, my questions are:

Is this irrelivant as the DVLA probably wont see this form?

On the Driving Test Report (DL25c) the box labelled 'auto' is ticked, is this what the DVLA go by?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

It is rare we get automatics and when we do it is all too likely that autopilot takes over and the DSA10 is completed for a manual car. I've done it even when thinking about remembering to make sure I don't forget.

As far as you are concerned it does not matter as only you will see it. The only thing that is important is that the auto box is ticked on the DL25. The DVLA will receive the top copy of the DL25 so their computer system will register that you took your test in an auto and only issue an auto licence.

If you licence comes back with manual i would just leave it and don't tell the DVLA, if you can drive manual cars then it could come in handy if you don't it's up to you what to do. Congrats on passing your test.
